No. All parsing, rendering, and file importing is executed strictly locally in your browser. We have zero backend markdown processing.
Can I view local .md files?
Yes. You can use the "Import .md" button to select a local Markdown file. It will be loaded securely into your browser memory without being uploaded anywhere.
Is it safe to preview untrusted Markdown?
Yes. We run all parsed Markdown through an enterprise-grade HTML sanitizer (DOMPurify) before it is rendered on screen. It blocks all malicious scripts and dangerous tags.
How is frontmatter handled?
If your Markdown file begins with YAML frontmatter (metadata separated by ---), we safely extract it and display it in a distinct metadata block at the top of the preview.
